Arrival/departure
In the event that you are unable to arrive or leave under your own steam, the following options are available to you:
Doctors’ rounds
Doctors’ rounds are scheduled by the doctor who is treating you and take place on a daily basis. Please inform the nursing staff if you are going to leave the department.
Your doctor and our nursing staff are responsible for your recovery. You may therefore only leave the hospital premises with the express permission of your doctor. There are also insurance-related reasons why this is important.
Art
Just above Privatklinik Lindberg is the “Am Römerholz” mansion, which houses the internationally renowned Oskar Reinhart Collection.
Bar
Our bar is located on the ground floor, opposite the restaurant.
Bathrobe
A bathrobe will be waiting for you in your room.
If you wish to take it home with you, you can purchase it for CHF 50 from our room service team or from reception when you leave.
Bedroom furniture
Please do not take any of the bedroom furniture out onto balcony. There are tables and chairs on the balconies and terraces so that you can enjoy the fresh outdoor air and wonderful views. You can request extra garden chairs for the terrace from the room service team.
Bistro
Enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake or a home-made ice cream sundae in our bistro or restaurant, or served on the sun terrace.
Cake
You can buy coffee and cake for delivery to your room from 2.30 pm.
Candles
The lighting of candles is not permitted anywhere on the hospital premises as it constitutes a fire hazard.
Cash dispenser
The nearest cash dispenser is at the Winterthur Cantonal Hospital (Kantonspital Winterthur).
Chaplains
Representatives of the Protestant and Catholic churches visit Privatklinik Lindberg weekly. Our nursing staff will also be happy to arrange additional meetings.
Cleaning
Your room is cleaned daily by our facility management company, DOSIM. Please contact a member of the room service team if you have any questions or suggestions.

Cosmetics
NESCENS is a quality skin-care brand from the house of Genolier. Our NESCENS consultant will be pleased to demonstrate products for you on a no-obligation basis. Please ask a member of the room service team if you would like to arrange an appointment.
Discharge
Your doctor will let you know when you are to be discharged. On the day of your discharge we would ask you to sign out with the nursing staff by 12 pm. They will provide you with the instructions, medication and documentation you will need. A member of staff will then accompany you to reception if you wish. Patients leaving may take lunch at Privatklink Lindberg on the day of their discharge. They may do so from 12 pm in our bistro in the lobby or our Trois Tileuls restaurant.
Please contact a member of the room service staff in advance.
Discretion
At your request we will not pass on any information in response to enquiries from third parties.
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency please ring the bell to alert our nursing staff.
Faulty equipment
If you come across any item of equipment that is broken or does not work properly please let a room service team member know. Thank you.
Fire
All rooms at Privatklinik Lindberg, as well as the balconies outside patients’ rooms, are smoke-free. All patients’ rooms and other areas of the hospital are fitted with a smoke alarm as part of the fire alarm system.
In the event of a fire please remain calm, close doors and windows and follow the instructions given by members of staff.
Flowers
At your request our reception staff will be happy to order you flowers for the following day.
Guests
You are welcome to invite guests to your room for meals. Please give notification of guests by 10 am for lunch and 3 pm for dinner. Alternatively, you may choose to enjoy an à la carte meal together in our restaurant. If you are expecting a visitor for breakfast please inform the room service team the day before.
Hairdressing
We are happy to arrange for a hairdresser to visit you during your stay at Privatklinik Lindberg. Please contact a member of the room service team.
Hairdryer
There is a hairdryer in the cabinet in your bathroom.
Hand sanitizer
In the interests of hygiene our staff will disinfect their hands before and after every contact they have with you.
We recommend that you also sanitize your hands regularly, especially before and after contact with visitors.
There is a hand sanitizer dispenser by your bed.
Headphones
Single-use headsets are available free of charge in your double room. You will find them in your bedside table.
Internet
Our public Wi-Fi network (Patienten-Lindberg) is available free of charge throughout the hospital.
Information
For general information please call reception on 111 and a member of staff will be happy to help.
Laundry
Our hotel staff provide a laundry service. Laundry received before 9 am (Mon–Fri) will be returned the same day. Laundry for dry cleaning is taken elsewhere and requires two to four days. Please contact our nursing or room service staff for further details.
A laundry list and laundry bag are provided for you in your wardrobe. Towels are changed daily by our nursing staff on request.
“Le Shop” kiosk
The kiosk sells magazines, small presents and cards and a small selection of toiletries. On request we can arrange for other products of your choice.
Lost and found
If you lose or find an item of property please get in touch with a member of our reception staff.
Luggage
Our room service team will be happy to assist you with your luggage.
Meals
All meals will be served in your room or, if you prefer, in the Trois Tilleuls restaurant on the ground floor.
Medicines
Please bring your personal medicines or prescriptions from other doctors with you to the hospital and hand them to the nursing staff. In order to prevent any contraindications please follow the instructions given to you by your doctor here. If you have any doubts, your anaesthetist will be pleased to advise you during the course of your preliminary interview, as will your doctor or surgeon here when you arrive.
Messages
A member of our reception staff will inform you immediately if a message arrives for you here.
Newspapers
On request, our room service team will provide a selection of daily newspapers with breakfast. You are welcome to pre-order the daily paper of your choice. Foreign-language newspapers and magazines may also be ordered. Please inform the room service team of your requests. You can settle your account at reception when you leave. Other magazines are available from Le Shop.
Ordering meals
A room service team member will take your orders for all meals on a daily basis. We will be happy to respond to your requests and questions concerning any intolerances or allergies.
Parking
Chargeable parking spaces are available for patients and visitors in the marked car parks. Tickets can be paid at reception or at the machines situated in the car parks themselves.
Payment methods
You can pay for any extras in cash (Swiss francs) or by EC-Direct, Visa or American Express at reception on the day of your departure; alternatively you can have them added to your patient’s invoice, which will be sent to your home address.
Pharmacy
During your stay you will be able to purchase items from the full range of products at the pharmacy at Winterthur station (Bahnhofapotheke). You will only pay for the items themselves: there is no charge for delivery to Privatklinik Lindberg. The station pharmacy sells a wide selection of toiletries, cosmetics and medicinal products (e.g. homoeopathic medicines). Please pass on any requests to a member of the nursing staff.
Phone
The telephone is incorporated in the TV remote control. Calls can be paid for at reception when you leave.
If you are a sharing a room we would ask you to show consideration towards your fellow patient when using the phone.
Photocopying
Our reception staff will be happy to photocopy documents for you.
Physiotherapy
The physiotherapy rooms are on the first floor. Please call 710 to contact a physiotherapist.
Post
Incoming post will be brought to your room by our room service team. If you have post to send please hand it in at reception. It is collected every day at 4 pm.
Questionnaire: “Your opinion is important to us”
You will be invited to complete this questionnaire at the end of your stay. Your comments and suggestions help us to continually improve our service. You can either leave the completed questionnaire with us when you are discharged or post it to us later. The envelope has pre-paid postage. Thank you.
Radio
The television set in your room receives a variety of radio stations.
Rail connections
Please ask at reception if you need information about train timetables.
Reception
Our reception is staffed from Monday to Friday from 6 am to 9 pm and at weekends and on public holidays from 7.30 am to 9 pm.
Room service
Our room service team is available to respond to your requests and concerns. They can be contacted every day from 7 am to 9.30 pm by phoning 564.
Safe
Privatklinik Lindberg’s comprehensive security system cannot entirely rule out the risk of theft. To keep this risk to a minimum we would ask you to keep any valuables in the safe. Privatklinik Lindberg cannot accept liability in the event of loss, damage or theft of property.
We advise you to leave any non-essential valuables at home or give them to a family member.
Security
All patients’ rooms and other areas of the hospital are fitted with a smoke alarm as part of the fire alarm system. Our staff are trained to confront suspicious or unknown persons and escort them from the premises if necessary. If you should notice anything out of the ordinary, however, please contact a member of the nursing or reception staff.
Privatklinik Lindberg is also monitored at night by a private security firm to guarantee your personal safety at all times.
Smoking
All rooms at Privatklinik Lindberg, including the balconies outside patients’ rooms, are smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on the terraces on the second floor and outside the restaurant and in the outdoor area in front of the hospital.
Social service
Our patient disposition service is available to help with questions relating to health cures and rehabilitation at the hospital. Please contact a member of the nursing staff.
Spitex
Please ask a member of the nursing staff if you would like “Spitex” follow-up care at home after your discharge.
Sunshades
The south-facing side of the hospital is equipped with a sunshade system (of balcony awnings), which allows patients to adjust shading to their own personal taste. The awnings have a switch system that automatically extends the blinds in strong sunshine and retracts them if the weather turns bad.
There is also the option of darkening the room to taste. The roller blinds in front of the windows can be operated manually via a remote control unit by your bed.
Tablets
Tablets can be hired from room service depending on availability.
Trois Tileuls restaurant
Please tell the room service team when ordering lunch or dinner if you would like to eat in our Trois Tilleuls restaurant. The restaurant is open every day from 8 am to 9 pm, serving a varied menu of local and Mediterranean dishes.
TV
Private rooms have a large flat-screen television. Patients occupying semi-private rooms have a personal 22-inch television which can receive a variety of TV channels and radio stations. You will find a full list of channels in your bedside table.
Umbrellas
You can purchase an umbrella (walking-stick style or Knirps) featuring the Privatklinik Lindberg logo from reception for CHF 19.
Upgrade
Give yourself a special treat during your stay by taking advantage of one of our attractive upgrades.
We exclusively offer fully refurbished, beautiful double and single rooms, all equipped with the latest infrastructure as standard. We also have junior and senior suites which offer even more space and comfort, with a separate living room and larger bathroom. You will find an overview of the various upgrade options at the beginning of this pack, in the “More service and COMFORT” leaflet.
Visiting hours
Visiting hours are from 10 am to 8 pm daily. Individual visiting hours may be agreed in consultation with the nursing staff.
Walks
If your condition allows it and your doctor is in agreement, you can take walks in our grounds and the nearby woods. We will be happy to provide any walking aids you may require, or a wheelchair. Please ask a member of the nursing or reception staff. Don’t forget to sign out at the nursing station.
Wine list
Our room service staff will gladly help you choose a wine to go with your meal, if allowed by your doctor.
